BLENDON TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A four-year-old child suffered a fatal wound by what authorities initially believe was an accidental shot from a pellet gun at a central Ottawa County residence on Friday, May 14, 2021, evening.
According to Sheriff’s Sergeant Nicholas Knott, deputies and other first responders were dispatched to an undisclosed location around 7 p.m. Despite efforts at the scene, and at Spectrum Health’s downtown Grand Rapids campus, the child died from his wounds.
No further details were initially disclosed by Knott as the matter remains under investigation.
