HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 38-year-old Holland man, Chad Nicholas Overbeek, has been sentenced to five years’ probation after pleading no contest to capturing and distributing images of an unclothed person as well as using a computer to commit a crime, according to Allegan County Sheriff’s authorities.
Overbeek’s roommate called police last year, after finding a hidden camera in a nightlight in the housemate’s shared bathroom.
Allegan Sheriff’s Computer Crimes detectives worked with Michigan State police to investigate, finding more material after executing a search warrant that included Overbeek’s cloud data.
Overbeek arrested on Aug. 17, 2020, and sentenced on April 19, 2021.
