HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The Holland Museum has a special gift for those who stop by during the Tulip Time Festival.
For a limited time, those coming to the old Holland Post Office building off of 10th Street and River Avenue in downtown Holland will receive a little package, according to Museum Education and Community Programs Manager Michelle Stempien. “We will be giving out information about tulips, the history of tulips,” she said on “WHTC Talk of the Town” during a recent appearance, “connecting it with the art in our museum, and the activity that will be going home will be supplies and instructions to make two origami tulips.”
These kits are dedicated to the memory of Jodi Syens, a long-time Holland city staffer and community volunteer who devoted much of her time and energy to the Museum, and who had passed away in February.
The Holland Museum is open today (May 3) to 5 PM, and from Thursday through Saturday (May 6-8) from 10 AM to 5 PM. More information is here.
