HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks announced on social media he’ll seek a second term of office.
On Facebook and Twitter, he wrote, “Officially announcing my candidacy for re-election! Our Future is Bright! And We Get To Live Here!
Let the day begin!”
The deadline to file papers to run for office is 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2021, according to the City of Holland’s elections webpage.
In Holland in addition to the mayor’s seat, four council seats will go before voters: one Member At-Large, currently held by Quincy Byrd; First Ward, currently held by Myron “Mike” Trethewey; Third Ward, currently held by Raul Garcia, who announced he will not be seeking re-election; and Fifth Ward, currently held by Scott Corbin.
The primary election is set for Aug. 3, and the general election is set for Nov. 2.
