HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – There’s a new name with a new look for Hope College’s commercial lodging and meeting center.
School officials announced on Monday (Apr. 13, 2021) that the rebranded Haworth Hotel will have a formal grand reopening ceremony set for June 16th. Renovation of the facility, which had first opened in January of 1997, began in November of 2019, with the COVID 19 outbreak pushing back a scheduled reopening from last May.
The school and the Haworth family footed the bill for the $7.5 million work that freshened up 48 guest rooms and 14 conference spaces, added a new suite, rebuilt the lobby with a grand spiral two-floor staircase, and created a coffee shop that will be open for students and the public. Award-winning designer and architect Patricia Urquiola of Milan, Italy led the design team.
With the name change from the Haworth Inn and Conference Center to Haworth Hotel comes a new website for booking and more information.
