HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Allegan and Ottawa county health dashboards tracking the number of people diagnosed with COVID-19 show higher numbers as of Monday, April 12, 2021.
In Ottawa County, 27,208 people have gotten ill since last year, and 368 people have died after getting the coronavirus.
In Allegan County, 9,082 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19, with 121 deaths reported. About 62 people have been diagnosed with the virus, on average, for the last seven days.
State health officials note Sunday and Monday average number of new confirmed cases is 4,837 per day.
Spectrum Health’s dashboard shows 244 patients admitted for treatment of COVID-19 complications. Holland Hospital has 20 patients being treated for severe COVID-19.
Ottawa County is offering free COVID-19 tests from 2 to 7 p.m. today at the Coopersville United Methodist Church, 105 68th Ave. North in Coopersville. Tests are free, but preregistration is encouraged to keep lines moving.
