Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is calling on Twitter, eBay, and Shopify to prevent the sale of fake COVID-19 vaccination cards.
People who have not been vaccinated are buying the fake cards, which Nessel calls a threat to public health and a violation of many state laws.
Nessel also issued an alert about scams involving phony surveys sent to those who have already received their vaccinations. Nessel says that these scams aim at getting people’s personal and financial information.
No post-vaccine surveys are being conducted by Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. Never give callers personal health or financial information or respond to emails asking for such details.
