Louise Scholten, age 62 of Holland, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 3, 2021. It wasn’t unusual to find a plate of fresh-baked cookies or muffins on the counter if you stopped by to visit the Scholten house, as Louise was often baking and cooking for her family. She even had a tradition of making a special birthday cake for each of her grandchildren on their birthdays. She loved making blankets, and many of her closest loved ones were gifted her blankets throughout the years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, and will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Dorothy Prince, and her brother Roger Prince.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years Paul; Children: Brent and Amanda Scholten, Melissa Shinsky, Eric, and Leah Scholten, and Heidi and Marty Horn; Grandchildren Kylie, Alexander, Hailey, Khloe, Savana, Norah, Eleanor, Grayson, and Harper; 7 brothers; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at Engedi Church from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the student annex. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Engedi Church at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Benjamin’s Hope, 15468 Riley St., Holland, MI 49424.
