HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The City of Holland’s annual spring clean-up program for residents is underway, wrapping up on April 4, 2021.
This is the time for City of Holland resident to rake yard clippings, shrub trimmings, wind-blown twigs, and small branches into the curb or road shoulders for pickup by the city’s street department crews.
City workers cannot pick up piles left in yards, the debris must by on the street at the curb or on the road’s shoulder. City officials indicated the piles should be away from utility poles, guy wires, fire hydrants, mailboxes or other items that could be damaged by city equipment trying to scoop up the pile.
Residents with a storm drain near their home are asked to ensure the drains areas are kept clear of the debris, or risk floods in their homes. Learn more here: the-macc.org/watershed/overview.
