HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 60-year-old Holland Township woman was rushed to Holland Hospital after a traffic crash on Friday, March 19, 2021, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s authorities.
The two-car crash happened on the westbound I-196 business lanes nearly 104th Avenue n Holland Township, just after 7:30 p.m.
Investigators learned the woman had been driving a 2017 Ford Edge but failed to stop for red light at 104th Avenue. The Edge was hit by a 2017 Ford Explorer, with a 36-year-old Zeeland woman at the wheel, with such force the Edge rolled over.
The Holland Township woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The driver of the Explorer was not physically hurt, police said, noting alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.
