Milton P. Steketee age 95, of Holland, died Monday, March 8, 2021, at an area care center.
He was a member of Graafschap Christian Reformed Church and a veteran of the Navy during WWII where he served on an aircraft carrier as an electrician.
Most of his career was with Conrad, Inc, and Thermotron as an engineer. After retirement he enjoyed spending time at the family cottage, golfing, and working in his workshop at home building small furniture items and doing repair projects for others.
Milton is survived by his wife of 73 years, Gladys; children, Woody and Sandy Steketee of Hamilton, Del and Patricia Steketee of Holland, Pauline and Rick Rypma of Holland; six grandchildren, Roylin and Shanielle Rypma, Benjamin and Michelle Rypma, Kristine and Justin Vander Kooy, Lynae and Jon Gesink, Kara and Joshua Higgs, Tyler Steketee; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Irv and Marilyn Steketee of Holland, in-laws, Les and Coral Swierenga of Holland, Anita Dyke of Holland; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Graafschap Christian Reformed Church, 5973 Church Street, Holland with Rev. Philip Kok officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim Home Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, at Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th St. Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Graafschap Christian Reformed Church or Holland Christian Schools.
