Five Crews Respond to Allegan Co. Farm Blaze

GANGES TWP., MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – There was a fire at a dairy farm in southwest Allegan County on Thursday morning.

Crews from five departments responded to the blaze in the waste disposal tanks at the Scenic View Dairy off of 62^nd Street just before 6 AM. Thanks in part to a 93-foot Ladder Tower truck from South Haven Area Emergency Services, the firefighters were able to contain the flames to the affected tanks, preventing them from spreading to nearby barns.

There were no reports of any injuries sustained by responding firefighters, and cows at the farm were not endangered. The cause of the blaze and a dollar estimate of damage were not immediately disclosed.
