Teresa J. Geary (TJ), age 59, of Byron Center, passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Grand Rapids, TJ spent her childhood in Holland and most of her adult life in Indianapolis. She graduated from Holland High School in 1980, received her RN from Bronson School of Nursing in 1983, and a BSN at St. Francis Medical Center College in Indianapolis.
TJ began her career in the Cancer Ward at Riley Children’s Hospital. She also worked for Nestle Nutrition, IU Health, and most recently, a Clinical Manager at Fresenius Kidney Care in Muskegon.
A woman of many talents, TJ loved home decor, crocheting, music, crafting, and creating beautiful gifts for her family and friends. She found great joy in celebrating special occasions with her family, using her talents to make sure every occasion was personal, beautiful, and memorable.
Teresa was proceeded in death by her parents Fredrick (2014) and Joanne (2016). She is survived by her long-term boyfriend Michael Coutts; her siblings, Kathie Perrault, Fred (Ruth) Geary, Laura (Jon) Marialke, Tim (Glennis) Geary, and Brian (Janice) Geary; many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The memorial service will be 11 AM, Tuesday (March 9), in the Chapel at Central Wesleyan, 446 West 40th Street (use entrance D or G). A memorial visitation will be 6-8 pm, Monday, (March 8), at Dykstra Funeral Home – Mulder Chapel, 188 West 32nd Street.
