HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM — A Coopersville traffic crash sent a 45-year-old woman by LIFE EMS to Mercy Health in Muskegon for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.
The crash happened when a 45-year-old Marne man driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck ran the stop sign at eastbound Cleveland at East Street jsut after 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Nicholas Knott.
The truck hit a Nissan with a 49-year-old Ravenna man at the wheel, who had been northbound on East Street, according to Knott. The force of the crash sent the truck into a third vehicle, police said, pinning the driver inside.
Coopersville/Polkton firefighters and Life EMS responded to the scene, extricating the driver and treating the 45-year-old woman, who had been a passenger in the Nissan.
The crash remains under investigation, according to Knott.
