Lawrence “Larry” Worthington, 82, of Zeeland, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
Larry was born September 4, 1938, in Owosso, Michigan, to Fred V. and Frances M. (Lindburg) Worthington. Larry graduated from high school and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He married Darlene Streeter and they raised their three children together in both Portland, Michigan, and Holland Michigan. Larry was a professional carpenter throughout his working career. He was also an avid bowler and worked at Century Lanes part-time in his retirement. Larry also bowled several leagues over the years at Holland Lanes and Century Lanes. He was preceded in death by Darlene in 2018.
He is survived by his children: Tracey Bryan of Zeeland, Tammy and Joshua McCluskey of Zeeland, Larry Jr. and Christine Worthington of Grand Rapids; grandchildren: Devin Esquivel, Kayla Esquivel, Billy Giesken, Kirsten Perkins, Dylan Worthington, Skylar Worthington; great-grandson Enzo Phillips, brothers: Dan Worthington, David and Marie Worthington, sisters: Barbara Davis, Karen and Fred Roberts, Marsha and John Lojewski, Nancy and Glen Hill, Becky Crites, and many extended family.
A family service will be held at Yntema Funeral Home, 251 S. State Street, Zeeland 49464. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. www.yntemafh.com
