HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Hope College’s men’s basketball season opener has been pushed back even more.
School officials announced on Tuesday that Wednesday’s contest with the visiting Alma Scots will now be held on Friday, January 29th. The 6 PM tip at DeVos Fieldhouse is 21 hours before the Flying Dutchmen’s rivalry contest with the Calvin Knights at Van Noord Arena in Grand Rapids.
The move is in keeping with COVID 19 outbreak protocol that the Hope men’s hoops team has been under since the first two scheduled games last week were postponed. Last Saturday’s slated game at Albion has been rescheduled for February 1st, while the home opener that was supposed to be played on Jan. 20 versus Adrian has yet to be rescheduled.
Broadcast coverage of Hope men’s basketball this weekend with Mike Coleman and Casey Rutledge is at 5:40 PM on Friday and 2:40 PM on Saturday on The Lakeshore’s 92 7 The Van.
