HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — National Weather Service meteorologists in Grand Rapids have issued a winter weather advisory for the following counties: Allegan, Ottawa and Van Buren, including the cities of Holland, Grand Haven, Jenison, and South Haven
Snow started falling just after 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19, with an anticipated total accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Some areas may get more.
The heaviest snow showers are expected between 5 and 11 p.m. Tuesday evening, with as much as an inch per hour falling, according to forecasters.
Drivers can expect slippery roads — and possible white-out conditions — especially during the Tuesday afternoon commute. Snow should taper off at around 4 a.m. Wednesday, according to the current forecast.
