- Perrigo expands commitment in West Michigan with new construction, jobs Perrigo’s new North American
corporate headquarters in Grand Rapids and an expanded distribution center in Holland will increase the
regional footprint of the generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, already one of Allegan’s largest employers. - ACT gives bus riders access to work, social life, necessities Allegan County Transportation provides its
customers with bus rides to medical appointments and grocery shopping, allowing clients who don’t drive
to maintain their independence. - Little pantry brings kindness, helping hand The Cottrell family has created a little free pantry in front of
their Holland home to spread a little kindness and a helping hand during COVID-19.
State scholarship pays tuition for frontline workers The Futures for Frontliners scholarship is intended to
help essential workers pay their community college tuition. The application deadline is Dec. 31. - Holland artist’s signs aim to cheer hospital workers, community Artist Carolyn Stich wanted to show her
appreciation for local frontline workers. She created large signs with inspiring messages that have been
installed at Holland Hospital. - Socially distanced Santa visits Upward Bound students Hope College TRIO Upward Bound students
received a holiday surprise from their mentors … and Santa. - Looking for something to do in December? Check out downtown Holland’s 12 Days of Christmas, which runs through Thursday, Dec. 24
This all-new holiday promotion features participating businesses giving away hundreds of dollars’ worth of prizes until stores close on Christmas Eve. All you need to do is make a purchase at a participating downtown Holland business until Dec. 24, and you can be entered in a daily giveaway of a gift valued at $25 (or a $25 gift card). Details online. - Drive-Thru Christmas Lights: Stay warm and snug in your car while driving through a glittering display of 230 trees on Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale. Each tree with 650 to 750 multicolored lights — a dazzling show featuring 150,000 twinkling bulbs.
