On Monday, December 21 our precious Mae Rose Essenburg (96) followed the Star of Bethlehem home and Heaven is Rejoicing!
Mae Rose was born June 10, 1924 in Holland, MI to Jacob and Rose (Vander Schaaf) Essenburg. She was a partner in the family business at Northland Lanes where she worked for 30 years until her retirement in 1986.
Growing up the family attended 14th Street Christian Reformed Church and later attended Faith Temple. Mae Rose stood firm in her faith in the Lord. She and the family were strong supporters of many ministries. A humble servant she looked forward to meeting Jesus, saying “What a day that will be”. A prayer warrior and a loving friend, we will miss her kind and tender heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her sisters, Elberdene Essenburg and Lillian Essenburg, and her brother Julius (Sonny) Essenburg.
She is survived by her brother, Jacob Jr. (Jun) and Beth Essenburg, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at The Inn at Freedom Village.
