Charles Vojvodic, 97, of Fennville, MI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Born June 29, 1923 in Ganges, he was the son of the late Matt and Katie (Sasinovic) Vojvodic. Charles was the husband of Juanita (Seyforth) Vojvodic, with whom he shared seventy-three years of happy marriage. He was a charter member of Fennville Bible Church, which is now Corner Bible Church. Charles was a proud, decorated veteran of World War II having served in the United States Navy in the Mediterranean and Pacific Theater. His conduct in the service earned him two Bronze Stars and numerous other awards and medals. Later, Charles spent many faithful years working for Cramptons and Holland Hitch. He loved restoring John Deere tractors and looked forward to riding his zero-turn mower each year.
In addition to his wife of seventy-three years, Charles is survived by his daughters, Nancy (Wayne) Stokes and Susan (James) Hadler; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Carl Vojvoic; and his siblings.
A graveside funeral service with military honors will take place on at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Fennville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. Chappell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
