HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The incentives are in place for shoppers to make downtown Holland retailers a destination over the next week.
Beginning tomorrow, the annual “Shopping Jam” has over 40 shops and restaurants participating in offing deals, giveaways and promotions. Linda Hart of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau says that, even during this COVID 19 prevention period, it will still be a fun time to come to the principal shopping district downtown.
“The Shopping Jam is traditionally a two-hour event,” she said on “WHTC Morning News” during her weekly appearance on Thursday. “There are major discounts for a lot of the merchants to entice shoppers to come early in the morning; that’s when you get the best discounts. Because of the restrictions on capacity limits, (Downtown Holland) has decided to make it a week-long event.”
While the Shopping Jam runs through December 19th, the “12 Days of Christmas” giveaway promotion involving more than 20 downtown Holland shops and restaurants starts on Sunday and goes through December 24th. More information on both of these initiatives is here.
