HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – There is a way to fight off the blues caused by the COVID 19 outbreak putting a damper on Christmastime activities for the youngsters along the Lakeshore.
Downtown Holland is holding its first-ever holiday coloring contest for children, featuring artwork by noted Holland artist Carolyn Stich, according to Linda Hart of the Holland Area Visitors Bureau.
“The cover of her book, ‘The 12 Days of Christmas in Holland, Michigan’ she made into a coloring page,” Hart said on “WHTC Morning News” during her weekly appearance last Thursday. “There are four age brackets – ages one to three, four to six, seven to nine, and 10 to 12.”
One child in each age bracket will be selected at random to win a complimentary copy of Stich’s book and a $25 gift card to the participating Downtown Holland business of their choice.
Entries are due by next Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, either by sharing on the Downtown Holland Facebook page or by emailing the image to downtown@cityofholland.com. Winners are to be announced on Dec. 21.
