HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies were called to a two-vehicle injury crash, just before 7:15 Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, according to a statement emailed to media.
The crash happened in front of Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Drive in Allendale Township. Initial reports were that one vehicle had rolled over, and occupants were trapped inside, police said.
Deputies learned a 29 year-old Allendale woman, driving a red Jeep Cherokee, was leaving the church parking lot and drove into the path of a black Ford pickup, with a 49 year-old Grand Rapids man at the wheel.
The force of the crash caused the pickup to roll over, trapping a 39-year-old Grand Rapids woman inside, police said.
Allendale Township firefighters extricated her and she had non-life-threatening injuries. No one else was hurt, including four children in the red Jeep, ages 10 months to 11 years, and two more passengers in the pick-up, a 10 year-old and 20-year-old, according to police.
This crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s officials.
