UNDATED (WHTC-AM/FM) – For those who need a flu shot in Allegan County, free clinics have been set up for the three Thursdays between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
On December 3rd, 10th, and 17th, the Allegan County Health Department is offering free flu vaccine for anyone six months or older without insurance, or with insurance that doesn’t cover the cost of vaccines. The clinic at the ACHD offices on 122th Avenue in Allegan is on the 3rd is from 1 to 4 PM, and on the following two Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 4 PM.
Interested individuals are asked to make an appointment by calling 269-673-5526. Those who are coming to be vaccinated will be screened for any symptoms of COVID 19, and must be masked up.
Meanwhile, the Ottawa County Department of Public Health is offering free flu vaccines for uninsured adults aged 19 and older at its free COVID 19 Community Pop-up Testing Sites this month, held in conjunction with the county Road Commission facilities. On Tuesday, December 8th, from 3 PM to 7 PM, it’s at the Grand Haven OCRC complex on Lakeshore Drive; the following Tuesday, December 15th, it’s from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Coopersville OCRC complex on 68th Avenue; and on Friday, December 18th, it’s from 10 AM to 4 PM at the OCRC complex off of Ransom Street on Holland’s North Side.
