David R. Garcia of Holland, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on November 25, 2020 after a short illness.
David was born on January 9th, 1963 in Brownfield Texas to Sammy and Mary Garcia. They moved to Holland Michigan in the summer of 1969. David was a HUGE Dallas Cowboys and U of M fan, but he loved watching all football. When David was 5, he learned how to play the drums and at the age of 8, he played in his Father and Uncles Tejano band “Sammy and the Outsiders”. He continued to play in Tejano bands and ended with the Karizima band until his retirement in his mid-40’s . David Loved listening to all kinds of music, but he especially loved his Tejano Music. He also loved watching all kinds of movies. David was so friendly and kindhearted and loved everyone especially his family, his boys, and his wife Tara, but he had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren and he was an exceptional grandfather. David had many friends and family that cared for him deeply and he will be so greatly missed by all who are left to cherish his memory.
Surviving are his wife, Tara Tuckerman Kimball; mother, Mary Garcia; sisters, Mandie Garcia Beltran, Michelle Garcia; aunt, Veronica; brothers, Nick Garcia, Cruz Beltran; sons, Michael, Adam, Aaron and Dallas Garcia; grandchildren, Isaiah, Melody and Siarrah Garcia, Aviana Sky Garcia, Jeremiah and Jordan Garcia and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Garcia; grandmother Rufina Garcia; father Sammy Garcia; uncle, Gilbert Garcia, and his nephew, Sammy Toliver.
A Memorial service will be held at a later date
