HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Health officials across the nation are appealing to people to limit their public exposure to COVID-19, especially between now and the end of the year, including the holidays, because of a wide and rapid increase in the pandemic.
In Allegan County, health officials report three more deaths as of Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, a total of 13 since mid-March. Allegan County went nearly two months without reporting a COVI-related death. Since Nov. 4, six deaths have been reported. Currently 1,887 residents are trying to recover from the virus.
As of noon Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, Ottawa County reported 4,794 residents currently have COVID-19, and five people have died from the virus since last Saturday, a total of 96 since mid-March.
Free COVID-19 tests are available to anyone, with or without symptoms, on a drive-through basis, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 21, Dec. 5, and Dec. 19, 2020 at the Allegan Transportation Building, 750 Airway Drive in Allegan.
