PRESS RELEASE (WHTC-AM/FM) — A six-year-old girl went by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of injuries after being thrown from the ATV she was driving.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at 5750 64th Ave. in Blendon Township just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020, where they found the girl conscious and alert.
Investigators found the girl had been operating a 90cc quad by herself, when she drove through a ditch and lost control. The quad flipped over, throwing the child off. The helmet she’d been wearing flew off her head.
The adult present when incident occurred did not see the crash happen, police said.
