SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – As fears of the worst during the COVID 19 outbreak grow, are local school districts ready for a return to “stay home, stay safe” that began eight months ago on Tuesday?
Dr. Tim Travis, Superintendent of Saugatuck Public Schools, sees some fluidity between classroom and remote learning in the weeks and months ahead. “Schools in West Michigan have done a very good job in being ready to pivot quickly, working with our health departments,” he said during a Tuesday appearance on “WHTC Morning News.” “A big concern is adults and students that are quarantined, making things more challenging, but I think it’s going to be a lot of starts and stops, and working our way through with our best information, week by week.”
Last month, Saugatuck had its junior and senior high students revert to all remote learning for a week due to a COVID 19 outbreak at the joint campus.
