HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 26-year-old man was shot at 5:54 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, while walking on Maple Avenue, between 18th and 19th streets, according to an HDPS statement emailed to media.
The victim, rushed to Holland Hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest, survived the shooting, police said.
Police investigators learned he’d been walking with another person when a shot was fired from a white midsize sedan southbound on Maple Avenue. Another person driving by the area, took the victim to Holland Hospital.
Police found group of younger men who’d been walking in the area and witnessed the shooting, but those witnesses are not fully cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
