HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — If you’re having the worst day of your life — or dealing with a county jail sentence after the worst day of your life — you can still cast a ballot in Ottawa County.
Ottawa County Sheriff Steve Kemper says his office works with County Clerk Justin Roebuck’s office to make sure every one behind bars who is eligible to vote can cast a ballot.
He said the clerk’s office works with Sheriff’s officials to ensure inmates are registered, understand how to properly fill out and return an absentee ballot — and aren’t voting twice.
