SAUGATUCK, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The amount of those testing positive for COVID 19 at Saugatuck Public Schools has increased.
In a statement posted on its website on Tuesday, the district announced that, “Six active positive school associated cases; nine total school associated positive cases. The district was notified that a student at Saugatuck High School tested positive for COVID 19. The student was isolated until allowed to return to school by the Allegan County Health Department. Contact tracing is ongoing.”
This is an increase of one from in both situations from Monday’s update, and is double the active and three more the total school associated cases from Saturday that led the district to suspend in-person classroom education for junior and senior high students through this entire week. Douglas Elementary School, at this point, is not affected by these results.
