Willi Castro’s RBI single in the second inning gave the Tigers a 4-1 lead at the time, and Detroit held on the rest of the way to edge the Royals in Kansas City on Saturday night, 4-3. The regular season is scheduled to end for both teams at Kauffman Stadium on Sunday, with an adjusted broadcast time with Dan Dickerson and Jim Price at 12:40 PM, in order to avoid predicted rain in the area at the original starting time of shortly after 3 PM.
Jose Abreu’s three-run double capped a five-run fourth inning rally as the White Sox defeated the visiting Cubs on Saturday night, 9-5.
