HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 66-year-old Fernandina Beach, FL, woman was ticketed after causing a crash on northbound 120th Avenue, in Olive Township, according to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Michael Hallmeyer.
She’d pulled her Honda to the right side of the road, into the path of a black Audi Q5, with a 37 year-old from Grand Haven woman at the wheel. The Grand Haven woman attempted to pass the Honda on the left. But the Florida woman steered the Honda back onto the road, attempting to turn went, onto Bingham Street. The resulting crash left the Florida woman and her passenger, a 61-year-old Zeeland woman, with minor injuries. Each was treated at the scene and released. The Grand Haven woman and her passenger, a 4-year-old boy, were unhurt, according to police.
The Fernandina Beach woman was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way.
