HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — A 24-year-old Shelbyville man escaped injured when the farm semi-tractor trailer loaded with radishes he was driving had a rollover crash on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020.
Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Rotman said in an email to media the crash happened just before 4:30 p.m. on 48th Avenue near Quincy Street in Jamestown Township.
Police learned the Shelbyville man was driving the truck from Gun Lake Farms in Plainwell, north on 48th near Quincy. At curved section of the road, he was driving to fast for conditions, according to police, when the truck veered off the road, then back again, overturning.
The driver was not hurt, but police had to close the road for about two hours for the safety of those removing the truck. The crash remains under investigation.
