LANSING (WKZO AM/FM) – Acting on the Governor’s latest executive order, the Michigan High School Athletic Association announced that it will resume the fall sports season, including football.
Officials for the MHSAA stated that, with the return of the four scheduled sports in the fall, football, girls swimming/diving, boys’ soccer, and girls volleyball, new schedules for events will be released shortly, and schools will have the option of not participating if they wish…or playing those sports in the spring as earlier planned.
As a added measure, all schools who decide to play 8-man or 11-man football will qualify for the playoffs, with the 11-man finals during the weekend of December 4-5, and 8-man the weekend of November 27-28.
