TALLMADGE TWP. MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Three persons were hurt in a two-vehicle crash between Allendale and Standale during the Thursday morning commute.
According to Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sergeant Ryan DeVries, a westbound van on River Hill Drive, driven by a 65-year-old man from Grand Rapids, went into the intersection of Linden Drive and into the path of a southbound SUV, driven by a 50-year-old Muskegon woman, around 8 AM. The force of the collision sent the SUV into a nearby, unoccupied building.
The woman was pinned in her vehicle and had to be extricated by first responders. She was airlifted to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in critical condition.
A 55-year-old Muskegon man, who was a passenger in her vehicle, sustained minor injuries, while the Grand Rapids man driving the van went to an undisclosed area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
