ZEELAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Dealing with business growth are among the items before the Zeeland City Council tonight.
During the biweekly business meeting, the governing panel will be hold three separate public hearings. Mead Johnson Nutrition wants a tax abatement request approved in connection with a proposed $67.7 million capital investment project at its facility off of Main Avenue that the company claims would create 39 jobs over the next two years. Woodward FST wishes the city to establish an Industrial Development District in the 200 block of Riley Street so that it can expand its facility that builds diverse durable goods for the aerospace industry. Finally, 3D Properties is looking for approval of a tax abatement request connected with a $580 thousand renovation of a two-floor vacant structure in the 100 block of Main Avenue into a mixed retail/residential development.
