HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Though death counts have remained unchanged for days, the number of people being diagnosed with COVID-19 as begun trending upward, in Allegan and Ottawa counties.
Allegan County recorded its highest number of cases, 20, on Jul 7 — the highest figure since May 9. Ottawa County‘s case counts included 42 on Friday, the highest figure since May 19.
Testing has increased in both counties, with 9.924 completed in Allegan County as of Sunday, and 31,448 in Ottawa County.
Statewide, cases have risen to 69,338 confirmed and 7,438 presumed cases, and 6,314 death since the pandemic hit the state in March.
Ottawa County’s death toll remains at 52, and Allegan County’s remains at seven.
