HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — From 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019, Greater Ottawa County United Way will host its annual Rake-A-Difference volunteer event in honor of Veteran’s Day. United Way sponsors and coordinates this event in an effort to mobilize volunteers to rake yards for local residents with physical or financial limitations.
Individuals, families, friends and groups are invited to sign up to volunteer for Rake-a-Difference.
Anyone who needs help with raking due to physical or financial hardship — those who who wish to rake as an individual or a team should contact contact Shannon LaHaie Behm, (616) 610-1338 or email her at slahaie@ottawaunitedway.org.
The deadline to sign up is Friday, Nov. 1. Volunteers will receive their assignments prior to November 16.
