HOLLAND (WHTC -AM/FM) — Two movies, two languages, both family-friendly and free! Movies in the Park will be back in August at Kollen Park.
This year The City of Holland is changing it “Up” a bit! The first movie, “Up” will be shown in Spanishwith English subtitles. Many people in the community speak Spanish fluently and there is also a growingnumber of students enrolled in Spanish immersion programs through local schools. This brings thecommunity an opportunity to experience language in popular culture.
Movies in the Park are slated for the following dates:
• Tuesday, August 6 – UP (Spanish with English subtitles)
• Thursday, August 15 – Captain Marvel
The screenings are free and will begin at 9:00pm. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring chairs, blanketsand snacks. L&N Concessions will be at Kollen Park for both movie nights. Alcohol is not permitted inKollen Park.
In case of inclement weather, Up will be shown at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holland on VanRaalte Avenue on August 6th. Captain Marvel will be shown at the Civic Center Place on August 15th.
