LANSING, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – The owner of Holland Doctors of Audiology has been appointed to a statewide supervisory panel.
Governor Whitmer announced on Friday that Stylianos Dokianakis of Saugatuck will fill a vacancy in the Michigan Board of Audiology for a four-year term that runs through June 30, 2023. According to the HDA website, “Dr. Dokianakis’ clinical interests are in the area of tinnitus, high-frequency hearing loss, and musician’s hearing needs. He loves sound technology and has lectured on advanced hearing aid fitting methods, tinnitus management, and hearing conservation planning.”
Enacted as part of the state Public Health Code, the Michigan Board of Audiology licenses audiologists and is able to take disciplinary action against “licensees who have adversely affected the public’s health, safety and welfare.”
Dr. Dokianakis’ appointment is subject to state Senate approval.
