HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The National Weather Service’s Grand Rapids meteorologists have issued a winter weather advisory starting at 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 through noon Sunday, Jan. 27.
Lake-effect snow will return with intensity, accumulting between 2 and 5 inches from Holland to Muskegon and east to Grand Rapids.
Winds chills will fall into the range of zero to 10 below zero.
Drivers can expect difficult travel in general, with slippery road conditions and occasional limited visibility. Michigan State Police tweeted a request at the start of this weekend for drivers to slow down to accommodate road conditions, leaving extra space between vehicles and planning on extra travel time.
