OLIVE TOWNSHIP (WHTC-AM/FM) — Officers from the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a two-car injury collision at the intersection of Polk Street and 112th Avenue in Olive Township at 9:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
Dustin Brouwer was heading north on 112th and stopped at the stop sign, but pulled out in front of Ronald Burns, who was heading west on Polk. Both vehicles ended up in a nearby ditch.
Brouwer sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Zeeland Hospital, where he was in stable condition.
Ronald Burns claimed to be experiencing knee pain, but refused treatment, saying he would seek his own.
Burns’s front seat passenger, Brian Brown, was not injured, but his back seat passenger, Troy Burns, was treated by paramedics at the scene after complaining of pain.
