HOLLAND (WTHC-AM/FM) — Zeeland BPW’s board of trustees voted unanimously for Andrew Boatright as the city’s next utilities manager. He has more than 35 years’ experience in the public section, primarily with public power.
He holds an MBA and is also a professional engineer, and has served as deputy director and actng director for Missouri’s City of Independence board of power and light, managing that utility’s 220 employees.
The job comes with an annual salary of $160,000 and $500 a month for a car allowance, at $15,000 budget for relocation and four weeks’ vacation after a year on the job. According to city documents, that’s a mid-point salary, commensurate to the last BPW manager’s compensation.
Boatright served as chair of the American Public Power Association in 2016.
