HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — Holland Mayor Nancy Deboer’s 90-minute holiday open house at the Civic Center Place included light refreshments and a giveaway of red-and-white ornaments depicting a Santa similar to the one seen for so many years on the James DeYoung Power Plant chimney.
“People are just so loving and enjoying it,” DeBoer told WHTC. “It gives people who haven’t even seen it (the renovated Civic Center) a chance to really experience the beauty of this place. It’s very heartwarming.”
