HOLLAND (WHTC-AM/FM) — The City of Holland will host another waterfront planning event, set for 6:30 to 8:30 Thursday, at the Holland Civic Center Place, on Pine Avenue at Eighth Street.
Holland City Manager Keith Van Beek says its the last waterfront-related public meeting for 2018, and a chance to move the project incrementally forward. Several 2019 related meetings are expected.
So far, the city has hosted tours of the decomissioned James DeYoung power plant and a series of open houses for public comment.
Thursday evening will give people the chance to show which site development categories they like best.
Results will be posted on the Waterfront Holland website, where people can see videos of the power plant’s interior and exterior, as well as read about focus group and public workshop results.
Thursday’s event is a free, public meeting — residents are encouraged to attend.
