HOLLAND TWP. (WHTC-AM/FM) — Police are investigating a strong-arm robbery overnight at the Walgreens, 494 Butternut Drive in Holland Township. It happened just after 2 a.m. Friday, said Ottawa County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jay Douglas.
“The suspect entered the store and demanded the clerk open a cash drawer,” Douglas said. “When the clerk did not open the drawer, the suspect then pulled the drawer out and fled the scene.”
Investigators, using a K-9, attempted to track the suspect, to no avail.
He’s described as white with a black or brown beard and moustache; in his 20s or 30s; 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall; and weighing 150 to 200 pounds.
“No weapon was seen or implied during this incident,” Douglas said.
