HOLLAND, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – A suspect in the fire of a Holland business has been named.
Captain Mark Bennett of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says 48-year-old Shane William Wheeler who was arrested on Friday November 24 after breaking into the Beechwood Cleaners off of Douglas Avenue has been charged.
Wheeler has been arraigned and charged with two counts of breaking and entering with more charges pending. Wheeler remains in the Ottawa County jail on a parole detainer.
Bennett says that Wheeler and the 16-year-old accomplice remain the main suspects in the fire that totaled the Graphix Sign and Embroidery building off of Lakewood Boulevard a week ago.
Wheeler has an extensive criminal history.
