GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Both a teenager and a man were injured in a two car accident in Grand Haven Tuesday morning.
At approximately 8:20 a.m., the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to an accident at the corner of Lincoln Ave. and Pine Glen Dr., just west of 144th Ave.
Sgt. Brian Buter says that 47-year-old Wyoming resident Jacinto Rueda-Zamora T-boned a vehicle driven by 16-year-old Grand Haven resident Kensley Schenkle while trying to turn left from Lincoln Ave. to Pine Glen Dr.
Both Rueda- Zamora and Kensley were injured in the accident and treated at North Ottawa Community Hospital. Kensley’s mother, Carrie, was in the front passenger seat at the time of the crash, but was uninjured.
Rueda-Zamora was cited by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department for failure to yield.
