SOUTH HAVEN, MI (WHTC-AM/FM) – Replica’s of Columbus’ ships will be docking in South Haven.
The ‘Pinta’ and the ‘Nina’, will be docked at Michigan Maritime Museum from August 31 until early morning September 5th. Both ships tour together as a new and enhanced ‘sailing museum’ for the purpose of educating the public and school children on the ‘caravel’, a Portuguese ship used by Columbus and many early explorers to discover the world. Before him, the Old World and the New remained separate and distinct continents and ever since their fates have been bound together for better or for worse.
Pricing is $15 for adults, $14 for seniors, $10 for children (under 4 free). This includes admission to the Michigan Maritime Museum (the only access point for these vessels) and dockside tours of both ships.
